Lickety Split are a fun contemporary pop duo based in Birmingham West Midlands, combining the talents of JJ and guitarist Steve, offering a sparkling cocktail of cool pop tunes with a twist of rock. Guaranteed to shake up the dance floor!
Lickety Split mix bubbly and lively performance with a great set of songs. JJ and Steve clearly love their music, and this shows in their diverse, entertaining and enthusiastic set; always giving their audience a very genuine and dynamic show. Lickety Split bring a splash of sing alongs, a dash of old favourites and a slice of zingy pop.
We can in addition to our party duo Lickety Split also offer an authentic tribute show to Blondie called “Blonde Daze” with authentic costumes & lights.
We also can offer an acoustic set should you want something a little more relaxed for your wedding or special event.
These guys are brill! Fun, lively and both lovely people. They had the whole room dancing all night! Best gig I’ve been to in ages!
JJ & Steve performed for a substantial crowd with their lively covers set with their duo “Lickety Split.” The crowd absolutely loved it, as did I! Their covers set was refreshing, energetic and this energy was certainly contagious! Admittedly, their selection was like nothing else I have heard from a covers duo with their songs ranging from rock to modern pop to ska, to reggae 60’s and indie. A great mix which catered to absolutely everybody in the room. Steve simply excelled on guitar & I found it amazing that JJ came out switching from “Debbie’s” New York twang to her real accent, broad Black Country. This act is refined, fun, and authentic and both are evidently so passionate about their craft. Remember their names because in my opinion they will go very far! An undiscovered gem of a duo!
Hi JJ & Steve. Just wanted to say I saw you guys Xmas Eve in Oswestry. You both rocked the place! Best Christmas Eve party I’ve had in a good few years! Loved the sets. Cheers for doing my Guns & Roses and Skunk Anansie requests so well! Never seen any girl do skin before… Rock on!!! My girlfriend loves ska so we got both for the price of a few carlings.!!!! Yeah!!!! Cheers for a wicked party! Catch you guys next time you’re Oswestry way for sure! (Rick & Ami)
saw these two in Birmigham at the Oobleck Stage @ The Custard Factory in Birmingham. I’ve just gotta say they were absolutely brilliant. A really lovely humble couple. Thanx so much for singing my request for my birthday! I’ve also been to see their Blondie Tribute too in December 15 & with both shows they were full of life and are both fantastic!! I haven’t enjoyed a gig that much in ages. Thank you both. (Emily and Danny)
Lickety Split are high energy…. and absolutely rocked the place at our December Black Country Festival. The Crowd absolutely loved them! They are unlike any other duo I’ve seen as they do so much of a variety in their set. From Ska, to Rock to modern pop even some oldies too… They both put absolutely everything they’ve got into their performance! Thanks for making the place feel bostin guys! 🙂
A lively, fun show and a warm heartfelt connection to their audience is what you can expect from this effervescent duo! I am autistic and came to the festival solely to see this duo. I find it difficult in crowds but JJ (the lead singer) actually took the time to go round and chat to as many of her audience members as she could before their set started… and this personal touch really put me at ease. This caring yet vivacious manner continued on stage… It was one of the best experiences. I felt like I belonged thanks to Lickety Split and my dad had to tell me to calm down because I was dancing and cheering so much. Please, I urge you to see these two they are fantastic!
Lickety Split are a duo from Wordsley, with the amazing guitar playing from Steve and the lovely JJ on vocals. Their appearance was neat and tidy as befitting professional performers and would be a welcome addition to any show. Lickety Split did not bore us with needless chatter, they just played high energy dance numbers throughout their set. Today they played mostly rock, but usually include a little bit of everything. They are a duo who guarantee a good evenings entertainment at your club/venue.
